About Legion

Never before has the voice of the Fianna Fáil grassroots been so important. Legion of the Rearguard is a site created for the grassroots of Fianna Fáil by the grassroots of Fianna Fáil. Legion of the Rearguard aims to create the space where ordinary members of the FF party can express their suggestions for the future of the FF party in a constructive and ambituous manner, and indeed fight the corner for Fianna Fáil in the upcoming 2011 General Election.

Legion of the Rearguard aims to bring together Fianna Fáil bloggers, and most importantly grassroot FF members, to write articles and suggestions with regard to the Fianna Fáil party. In essense, those behind this site wish to provide a means for the membership of the FF party to communicate their views as Fianna Fáil moves into what will be the most important election and post-election period in its history.

Now is the time to harness the ideas and innovations of the broad spectrum of the Fianna Fáil membership. Legion of the Rearguard aims to be inclusive of all, and does not want to become a ‘committee lead’ initiative. This site is only just beginning, and those initially behind this site would be delighted to bring more people on board to help administer the site.

Who run this site?

This site is run by Fianna Fáil members young and old (Ógra and Senior party) from across Ireland. If you would like to find out more about us and to get involved helping the day to day running of this site please email us. Obviously the confidentiality and privacy of those helping to run this site at present cannot be presented in the public sphere at present until the site gains momentum.

Just to stress, this site is not an official Fianna Fáil page, but merely a blog site run by members of Fianna Fáil. LOTR is also not an organisation but merely a collection of bloggers.
